Silicone Emulsions, Fluids & Defoamers

Silicone emulsions, known to chemists as polyorganosiloxanes, have a unique chemical structure of alternating silicon and oxygen atoms. This uniqueness has led people to formulate high performance specialty chemicals which perform outstanding functions. Aerol formulates a range of silicone emulsions, fluids and de-foamers based on these silicones that help industries to produce high quality products. Our range includes silicone emulsions, silicone dmps fluids, silicone speciality fluids, silicone defoamers and anti-foams.

Silicon Emulsions

Silicone emulsions are water diluteable emulsion of Polymedthly siloxane fluids. These silicone emulsions are chemically inert, non toxic, non-flammable and non-harzardous. They possess low surface tension and superior wetting properties. These silicone emulsions are particularly suited for mould release applications during rubber moulding and metal casting because they form films of low adhesion and therefore be applied to moulds to prevent adhesion of the moulded articles. They are also used as water solutable lubricants, paper and textile finishing agents and as a polish ingredient, various grades of silicone emulsions are being formulated with respect to their solid contents.

Silicone DMPS Fluids

Afra® silicone DMPS fluids are available in a wide range of viscosities. Our silicone DMPS fluids have several outstanding features such as resistance to high and low temperatures without thermal decomposition or major change in viscosity, resistance to attack by chemicals, water and harsh environment, high flash point, inert, non-toxic, excellent di-electric properties, low surface tension and refractive index.

They are used as release preparations to de-mold rubber and plastic articles, as ingredients for manufacture of cosmetics, anti-foams, lubricants, polishes and chemical specialities. They are available in a range of viscosities.

Silicone Defoamer & Anti-Foams

Afra® Silicone defoamers and anti-foams are available as water dispersable emulsions and as 100% oil based products. The chemically inert nature of these silicone defoamers and anti-foams facilitates its use as a defoamer and antifoam in Textile, Paint and Varnish, Paper, Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics and Chemical processing.
