Afra® Heavy Duty Silicone
Free Sprays
Afra®
Heavy Duty Silicone Free Spray is a pressurized
solution of proprietary ingredients and solvents.
On spraying, the propellant and solvent evaporate,
leaving behind a thin film of active ingredients.
These films of actives act as release agents and
lubricants for Injection moulding process and anti-spatter
applications. These grades have been specifically
designed for applications where the presence of
films of silicone fluids is undesirable.
Applications
As Mould release agents, they are used
instead of Silicone sprays in applications where
the moulded article requires to be painted, plated
or printed. The films of actives of these grades
do not hamper adhesion of glues, paint, and foils
etc. to the moulded articles.
As Anti-spatter agents, they are used when the welded
articles are required to be painted, coated or printed.

Afra® Silicone Emulsions
Afra®: Silicone Emulsions are water dilute-able
emulsion of Polydimethlysiloxane fluids. These emulsions
are chemically inert, non-toxic, non-flammable and
non-hazardous. They possess low surface tension and
superior wetting properties. These Silicone Emulsions
are particularly suited for mould release applications
because they form films of low adhesion and can therefore
be applied to Moulds to prevent adhesion of the moulded
articles
Various grades of Silicone Emulsions are being formulated
with respect to their solid contents.

Applications-
Mould release Agent for rubber moulded articles such
as footwear, rubber sheets and profiles, hose-pipes,
rubber beltings, oil seals, auto components, Tyres,
Tubes etc.
- as a polish for rubber, plastic and similar articles,
- as a water-soluble lubricant,
- as a release agent in foundry operations,
- as a surface treatment for printed paper,
- as a ingredient in the manufacture of aqueous automobile
and house hold polish
- as a textile softener.
Silicone Anifoams/ Defoamers are extensively used
where product or process foaming problems are encountered.
Added in very small quantities they destroy unwanted
foam. Silicone antifoam agents/ defoamers are generally
more effective than organic antifoam agents. Aerol
produces various antifoaming agents/ defoamers that
are broadly classified in two categories - Aqueous
based & Non Aqueous based.
Aqueous based antifoaming agents/ Defoamers.
These are water diluteable, Activated
Dimethyl Silicone Emulsion (Simethicone Emulsion)
is a water dispersible form of a polydimethylsiloxane
and silicone dioxide mixture. The chemically inert
nature of this product facilitates its use as a defoamer/
antifoam in Pharmaceutical, Food, Beverage, Cosmetics
and Chemical processing.
